- Orientation: 8 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends
- Charting Experience: Epic experience strongly preferred
Job Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in hand
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
- Prior Epic EHR experience preferred; candidates without Epic experience may complete training
- Ability to work rotating weekends
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to pediatric patients in an emergency department setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately and efficiently
- Support physicians and the interdisciplinary care team in delivering timely interventions
- Respond to changing patient needs in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Maintain accurate charting and follow established unit workflows
- Deliver family-centered care with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication
