• Orientation: 8 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends
• Charting Experience: Epic experience strongly preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
• Prior Epic EHR experience preferred; candidates without Epic experience may complete training
• Ability to work rotating weekends
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to pediatric patients in an emergency department setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately and efficiently
• Support physicians and the interdisciplinary care team in delivering timely interventions
• Respond to changing patient needs in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Maintain accurate charting and follow established unit workflows
• Deliver family-centered care with professionalism, empathy, and clear communication
