Job Requirements

  • Active Texas RN license required; temporary license will not be accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years of MICU or MSICU experience required
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • CCRN preferred
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Strong experience caring for critically ill adult patients in a Medical ICU setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and high-level nursing care to MICU patients
  • Monitor and assess patients with complex, acute, and changing conditions
  • Assist with and support ICU procedures such as central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations
  • Care for patients using advanced ICU equipment, including ventilators and other critical care systems
  • Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver quality outcomes
  • Adapt to acuity-based assignments and support team needs across the unit
