• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Odessa, TX 79761
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Start Date: October 6, 2026
• Scheduling Note: Candidates should be open to 36/48 alternating schedules or straight 48s if needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience required
• 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred; travel nursing experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Must be willing to float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as assigned
• RTO must be submitted with application
• Open to local policy requirements for travel placement

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in a collaborative, patient-focused environment
• Monitor telemetry data and assess patients for changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and physician orders
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the charting system
• Partner with the care team to promote safe, efficient patient outcomes
• Float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed to support staffing needs
• Maintain strong communication, professionalism, and adaptability throughout the assignment
