Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Location: Bristol, CT
• Setting: Acute Care Intensive Care Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Rotating holidays
• Floating: May float to Med Surg or ER to assist as helping hands
• Charting System: MEDITECH
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 - $2,200

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience titrating drips and managing common ICU medications
• Strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills
• Comfortable caring for a mixed-acuity patient population in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Experience with step-down overflow, med-surg overflow, or other acute care patients is highly valued
• Professional, team-focused approach with strong adaptability

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients with varying levels of acuity
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the shift
• Administer and titrate drips according to patient needs and facility protocols
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and communicate critical findings promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the care team to support safe patient outcomes
• Care for patients recovering from a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions
• Support overflow patients when needed and assist on other units as assigned
• Maintain accurate documentation in MEDITECH and follow unit standards of care
• Contribute to a respectful, positive team culture focused on quality patient care
