Job Requirements

• Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license
• At least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• PALS certification required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Strong work history; first-time travelers may be considered with a solid clinical background
• Ability to complete required travel compliance items before the start date

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Document care accurately and maintain timely charting in the electronic health record
• Support nightly patient care needs in a busy pediatric unit
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and readiness to work scheduled holidays when needed
