- Position: CVOR Registered Nurse / Cardiovascular Operating Room RN
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
- Start Date: 10/5/2026
- End Date: 1/4/2027
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,870 - $3,020
- On-Call: 1 night per week and every 6th weekend
- Floating: Not required
- Setting: Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Room
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Indiana
- BLS certification required
- At least 2 years of CVOR experience preferred
- Experience circulating complex cardiovascular and thoracic cases
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
- Must be able to support travel assignment requirements
Responsibilities
- Circulate complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures as a perioperative RN
- Support cases such as CABG, AVR, MVR, aortic aneurysm repairs, carotid endarterectomy, AV fistula procedures, Impella placement, ECMO cases, and thoracotomy
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, and OR team members to promote safe, efficient surgical care
- Maintain patient safety and high standards of perioperative nursing practice
- Prepare the OR for complex cases and ensure readiness of supplies and equipment
- Adapt quickly to changing surgical needs while maintaining attention to detail
