Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric care or behavioral health nursing preferred
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work professionally in a team-based healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered psychiatric nursing care
• Complete admission assessments and ongoing patient evaluations based on individual needs
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care for behavioral health patients
• Administer care in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and standards of practice
• Document patient status, interventions, responses, and progress accurately and on time
• Support patient safety, including universal precautions and behavioral health best practices
• Advocate for patients and families while promoting dignity, courtesy, and respect
• Participate in team communication, quality improvement, and professional development activities
• Assist with leadership or charge nurse duties as assigned, including staff support and patient flow
