• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with a 30-minute unpaid break
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Yes, within competencies
• EMR: Cerner

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; New York State license preferred at time of submission or able to be obtained prior to start
• At least 1 year of postpartum, Mother/Baby, or similar maternal newborn nursing experience required
• 2+ years of specialty experience preferred for strongest consideration
• Prior travel nurse experience is preferred, but not required
• BLS certification required or obtainable prior to start date
• NRP certification required
• Strong assessment skills and comfort caring for postpartum patients and newborns
• Lactation experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate postpartum nursing care to new mothers following vaginal or Cesarean deliveries
• Complete postpartum assessments and support recovery on the Mother/Baby unit
• Perform frequent newborn assessments, including weight checks and bilirubin monitoring
• Support patient education and family-centered care during the postpartum stay
• Collaborate with the care team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Float to other units within scope and competencies as needed
• Maintain excellent documentation and follow unit processes during night shifts
