Travel Nurse Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Setting: Medical-surgical telemetry float pool with opportunities to support related care areas as needed
• Charting System: Cerner experience preferred
• Certification Testing: EKG testing required before start

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Ability to pass EKG testing before the start date
• Strong telemetry knowledge and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience with med/surg and telemetry patient care
• Ability to manage IV therapy, lines, and common respiratory support devices
• Comfort working in a flexible float environment and adapting to changing patient needs
• Prior Cerner experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies according to best practices
• Support patients with cardiac telemetry, oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and related interventions
• Care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs, including COPD, diabetes, and orthopedic or gynecologic conditions
• Float as needed to related units based on skillset and department needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Participate in a collaborative, patient-focused care environment
