Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Neuro MedSurg
• Setting: Acute care medical-surgical unit
• Employment Type: Travel nursing
• Location: Morgantown, WV 26506
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Full-time nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; weekends and holidays as needed
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/17/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 to $2,030
• Orientation: 1 shift on the unit
• Charting System: EPIC
• Floating: May float to other nursing units as needed
• Dress Code: White and royal blue scrubs

Job Requirements

• Recent EPIC experience required; strong neuro nursing experience preferred
• Active RN license eligible for submission
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required at time of submission
• ACLS preferred
• Experience caring for patients with neurological disorders, stroke, seizures, and post-op spine cases strongly preferred
• Comfort with G-tube care and monitoring complex medical-surgical patients
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional floating assignments

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to neuro and medical-surgical patients in a 20-bed acute care unit
• Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses such as stroke, seizures, DBS, and post-operative spinal conditions
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in EPIC
• Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and compassionate bedside care
• Work effectively in a team-based environment with charge nurse support and unit resources available 24/7
• Maintain flexibility for weekend, holiday, and floating coverage based on unit needs
