• Floating: May float to PICU as helping hands

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric nursing experience
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Current PALS certification through AHA
• EPIC experience required
• Experience in a 400+ bed facility with comparable acuity, including Level 2 trauma experience
• Compact or Indiana RN license required
• Strong clinical skills caring for pediatric patients from 3 days to 18 years of age
• IV skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with a variety of conditions
• Care for patients with common childhood illnesses, respiratory conditions, RSV, trauma, surgical needs, birth defects, and complex transfers
• Monitor and support children with COVID-positive and other acute care needs
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and support efficient unit workflow
• Work collaboratively with the care team to maintain safe ratios and strong patient outcomes
• Assist the PICU team as needed while maintaining a patient-centered approach
• Adapt quickly in a travel nursing environment and contribute to a positive unit culture
