Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Wheeling, West Virginia
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; weekends as scheduled
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Assignment Dates: 09/20/2026 to 12/20/2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
- Charting System: Allscripts
- Setting: Acute care Med/Surg unit
Job Requirements
- Active RN license or eligibility to obtain before the start date
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg, acute care, or medical-surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- ACLS certification is a plus
- Experience with peritoneal dialysis preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to a varied Med/Surg patient population
- Monitor patient condition, recognize changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments according to established standards
- Support recovery for post-operative, neuro, orthopedic, and medical patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive outcomes
- Document care accurately and maintain strong clinical follow-through
- Help maintain a calm, efficient, and patient-centered unit environment
