ICU Registered Nurse – Travel Critical Care RN Job in Philadelphia, PA 19111

Job Details

• Setting: Mixed Critical Care Unit supporting medical, cardiac, surgical, and neuro patients
• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19111
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:2

ICU RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of ICU experience required; 2+ years preferred
• ACLS and BLS required
• NIHSS certification preferred, or willingness to obtain if applicable
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical care assessment, prioritization, and teamwork skills
• Experience with TNK, withdrawal management, or bone marrow transplant care is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to medically complex medical, cardiac, surgical, and neuro patients
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Float to med-surg telemetry as a priority and assist with ED admission holds when needed
• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care while maintaining accurate documentation and unit standards
• Support patients with complex diagnoses such as sepsis, ARDS, CKD, multi-organ failure, overdose-related care, and transplant-related complications
