• Position: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210
• Start Date: 11/2/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940-$2,040
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Schedule: Rotating day/night schedule; 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, rotating every 4 weeks
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 32 hours
• Unit Type: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience in Cardiac Stepdown, PCU, Telemetry, or a closely related specialty
• Current experience must be active and within the last 12 months
• Valid RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Experience supporting cardiac monitoring in a stepdown or progressive care environment
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to float within the organization as needed
• Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown and telemetry environment
• Monitor telemetry data and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
• Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with complex medical needs
• Manage IV insulin protocols, insulin drips, oxygen therapy, and peripheral IV care
• Support patients with varying diagnoses, including oncology-related conditions, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, and abnormal labs
• Administer medications, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and communicate changes in patient status promptly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and respond effectively to rapid response or code situations when needed
• Float to other units within the organization as required
• Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
