• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required, including every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Floating: May be required based on unit needs and census

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Registered Nurse experience; Cardiac Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or telemetry experience preferred
• Active RN license in any U.S. state or compact license eligible for submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience caring for patients with stable chronic ventilators
• Ability to complete an online EKG/dysrhythmia competency assessment before start
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and stepdown-level patient care
• Experience with IV starts preferred
• Comfortable floating to medically appropriate units as needed
• Must be available for required holiday and weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, neurological, and metabolic conditions
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage therapies such as insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, and other ordered drips per policy
• Care for patients requiring chest tube management, hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis support, and ventilatory assistance
• Perform comprehensive assessments, document accurately in Epic, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe outcomes
• Support patients with oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, wound care, and other advanced stepdown interventions
• Work closely with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response resources, and other healthcare partners
• Maintain flexibility to float and assist where needed while delivering exceptional patient-centered care
