Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Columbus, Ohio 43210

• Float Requirement: May be required to float within the organization as needed
• Setting: Level 4 Labor & Delivery unit

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced or NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with IV starts and Labor & Delivery clinical skills required
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Must be able to complete credentialing and fingerprinting promptly due to compliance timelines
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor reference

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, recovery, and fetal monitoring
• Perform IV starts, medication administration, and ongoing maternal and fetal assessments
• Monitor and respond to fetal heart rate patterns, contractions, and maternal status changes
• Assist with procedures such as cervical exams, Foley placement, epidural support, and cord blood collection
• Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit standards for quality and safety
