• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating day and night shifts

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 16, 2027
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding any on-call time worked

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required at the time of submission
• At least 3 years of related nursing experience in an ICU, Neuro ICU, or Neuro Intermediate Care setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale education or certification
• Demonstrated experience with external ventricular drains, lumbar drains, and arterial lines
• Experience caring for patients receiving vasoactive infusions, tissue plasminogen activator, and post-operative neurological care
• Comfort caring for patients following acute thrombectomy procedures and other complex neurovascular interventions
• Basic ability to navigate web-based applications and electronic medical records; Epic experience preferred
• Availability to work rotating day and night shifts and every other weekend
• Travel clinicians must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location

Neuro ICU Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in an 18-bed Neuro Intermediate Care Unit
• Monitor and manage patients with arterial lines, external ventricular drains, lumbar drains, and other advanced neurological therapies
• Care for post-operative day-zero neurological patients and individuals recovering from acute thrombectomy procedures
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including tissue plasminogen activator and selected vasoactive infusions
• Perform frequent neurological assessments and promptly identify changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment, procedures, patient education, and transitions of care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
• Float to the Neuro ICU when needed to support patient care and unit operations
• Promote patient safety, evidence-based practice, and compassionate care throughout each shift
