Travel NICU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360–$2,480
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Assignment End Date: January 30, 2027
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour day and night shifts with start times of 7:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.
• Rotation: Day/night rotation with every other weekend and every other holiday
• Work Setting: On-site, acute-care Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

NICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of previous Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse experience
• Experience caring for critically ill neonates, premature infants, and full-term infants
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
• Strong patient assessment, clinical, organizational, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to safely lift, transfer, and reposition patients
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and perform mathematical calculations required for treatment protocols

Neonatal Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to premature and full-term infants requiring intensive care
• Monitor, assess, and respond to rapidly changing conditions in critically ill neonates and infants
• Deliver specialized nursing care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Provide in-house emergency nursing support for neonatal patients
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Support patients and families while respecting their cultural, spiritual, and emotional needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and use healthcare technology effectively in the care environment
• Promote safe, efficient, timely, and effective patient care practices
• Demonstrate leadership and charge nurse capabilities when assigned
