ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nurse Job – 13-Week Contract in Westwood, New Jersey

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: Onsite hospital ICU
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770–$1,870
• Electronic Health Record: Epic
• Travel Experience: First-time travel nurses are welcome

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or a valid compact license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1.5 years of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or critical care nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with electronic health record documentation; Epic experience is preferred
• Strong critical care assessment, prioritization, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Applicants must reside outside the applicable 50-mile local radius

ICU Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and recognize changes in patient condition
• Monitor and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, continuous IV sedation, and complex infusions
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to patient needs and clinical protocols
• Provide care for mechanically ventilated patients and manage BiPAP and CPAP therapy
• Interpret arterial blood gases and implement appropriate clinical interventions
• Perform airway suctioning, including ETT and nasotracheal suctioning, as indicated
• Maintain isolation precautions and follow infection prevention and personal protective equipment standards
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Complete required onboarding activities and onsite orientation modules within established timelines
