• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 6:1
• Clinical Setting: On-site float pool supporting multiple departments and affiliated local facilities

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona
• At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability and willingness to float between departments and affiliated local facilities
• Cerner electronic medical record experience preferred

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients throughout the assigned shift
• Use the nursing process to assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Monitor telemetry patients, recognize changes in condition, and promptly escalate clinical concerns
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and prioritize care for patients with varied acuity levels
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established policies and standards of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary departments, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction and supervision to assigned support personnel
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and professional development
