Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and surgical safety standards
• Ability to work 8-hour day shifts and participate in weekend and holiday rotation
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical judgment skills

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality registered nursing care throughout the perioperative experience
• Prepare patients, equipment, supplies, and the operating room for scheduled surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative care team
• Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols
• Monitor patient status, anticipate clinical needs, and communicate changes promptly
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with department standards
• Support efficient operating room turnover and contribute to a positive, team-focused surgical environment
