Emergency Nurse Manager and Locum Tenens RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a compact state
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including recent leadership experience within the last 2 years
• Training and clinical experience in an Emergency Department setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to provide bedside emergency nursing coverage as needed
• Availability for daytime shifts and rotating weekend coverage
• Successful completion of a Colorado Adult Protective Services check
• Reliable transportation, as public transportation is limited in this rural community

Emergency Department Nurse Manager Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care, nursing staff, and daily Emergency Department operations
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for emergency and trauma services
• Partner with nursing leadership to support department goals, staffing needs, and operational priorities
• Take bedside Registered Nurse shifts when needed to maintain continuity of patient care
• Promote safe, efficient, and patient-centered care throughout the Emergency Department
• Coach, support, and mentor nursing team members
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for emergency and trauma patients
• Help maintain quality standards, regulatory readiness, and effective department workflows
