Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Assignment Type: 15-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: February 1, 2027
• Openings: 3
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 4 patients per nurse
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Some weekends and holidays are expected. Night-shift nurses may be scheduled for up to six weekend shifts during a six-week scheduling period, including up to three Sundays.
• Orientation: Approximately 20 hours

Travel Emergency Department RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Maryland
• At least 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• At least 1 year of emergency department travel nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Recent experience with Epic electronic health records
• Experience in a high-acuity or Level II Trauma Center emergency department preferred
• Ability to manage a fast-paced emergency nursing assignment involving a broad range of patient ages and acuity levels
• Ability to work required weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Required vaccination compliance, including influenza and COVID-19 vaccination, as applicable to the assignment

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care in a high-volume Level II Trauma Center
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, reassessment, and prioritization of patients with varying levels of acuity
• Care for adult, pediatric, geriatric, neonatal, and infant patients
• Manage patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilation, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Administer blood products and maintain central lines and peripheral IV access
• Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias, stroke symptoms, STEMI, CVA, orthopedic trauma, and penetrating injuries
• Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac rhythms while escalating changes in patient condition
• Apply isolation precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment practices
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, IV services, radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, social services, interpretation services, and other members of the care team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in Epic
