• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• End Date: December 28, 2026
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: Not required
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient progressive care and medical-surgical overflow unit
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5 to 1:6, dependent on patient acuity
• Documentation System: Cerner

Telemetry / Progressive Care RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent progressive care or telemetry nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• Telemetry competency
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to care for patients with varied medical-surgical and step-down needs
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Positive, compassionate, patient-focused approach and strong teamwork skills

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care to telemetry, progressive care, and medical-surgical patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition
• Complete assessments, administer medications, provide treatments, and evaluate patient responses
• Care for short-stay patients and individuals requiring varied levels of inpatient care
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, nursing assistants, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Promote patient education, comfort, safety, and quality outcomes
• Accurately document nursing care and clinical updates in Cerner
• Adapt to changing assignments and float to other units when required
