Travel RN opportunity in Anderson, SC for an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry nurse seeking a 13-week night-shift contract. - Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m.
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5–1:6
- Float Requirement: Float among medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed
- Charting: Epic
Travel Registered Nurse Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in medical-surgical and/or telemetry nursing
- Current Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or may be required based on unit needs
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in an acute-care setting
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and time-management skills
- Comfort working independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with varied medical-surgical and telemetry diagnoses
- Monitor patients, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly to clinical needs
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage patients requiring telemetry monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Provide central line, peripheral IV, oxygen, and isolation precaution management
- Support patients with conditions including cerebrovascular events and renal failure
- Document patient care accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rehabilitation, IV teams, rapid response teams, and other support services
- Float to designated medical-surgical and telemetry units while maintaining high standards of acute-care nursing
