Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870–$1,970
- Location: Fort Myers, Florida
- Healthcare Setting: On-site, Level II trauma Emergency Department
- Unit: 22-bed Emergency Department
- Start Date: November 6, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending February 6, 2027
- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Openings: 2
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 3–4 patients per nurse
- Documentation System: Epic
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN or Emergency Room RN experience in a similarly sized hospital or Emergency Department
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Florida
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
- Prior travel nursing or travel Registered Nurse experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and provide safe nursing care in a high-acuity environment
- Willingness to float to other units or affiliated locations as needed
- Degree accreditation must be documented in the professional profile, or candidates must demonstrate at least 5 years of relevant experience
Emergency Nursing Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to emergency patients with a broad range of medical and surgical conditions
- Assess patients, identify changes in condition, prioritize care, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions
- Manage complex and high-acuity cases in a Level II trauma Emergency Department
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide accurate clinical documentation in Epic and support effective transitions of care
- Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians during emergent evaluations and procedures
- Maintain flexibility to float when needed, with travel nurses participating in floating assignments before core staff when applicable
- Promote a collaborative unit culture and contribute as an integral member of the emergency care team
