Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370-$2,500
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Location: Fort Defiance, Arizona
- Start Date: October 6, 2026
- End Date: January 5, 2027
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., including a one-hour lunch
- Shift: 8-hour day shift
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Call: None

Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in discharge planning and medical-surgical nursing
- Registered Nurse experience in a clinical, medical-surgical, acute care, and/or critical care setting
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state or territory
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical documentation, communication, organization, case management, and care coordination skills
- Ability to attend required new employee orientation and scheduled staff meetings
- Travel nurses must complete required clearance no later than 7 days before the scheduled start date
Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities
- Perform case management and coordinate the discharge planning process for age-appropriate inpatients with chronic diseases and complex healthcare needs
- Support patients across medical-surgical, intensive care, obstetric, and adolescent care settings
- Maintain tracking systems for patients referred for admission or transfer to other healthcare facilities
- Review medical records to evaluate requested services and support safe transitions of care
- Coordinate discharge plans for patients returning to another care setting or transitioning home
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, families, and post-acute providers
- Promote timely, appropriate, and patient-centered care transitions
