Local Candidates Accepted - Will Receive A $10/hr Lower Local Rate JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team who is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas. The RN will be required to assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques to obtain past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays and other diagnostic test. They will be involved in the planning and implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a Physician. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree preferred Active NH RN License required or eligible to obtain an NH RN license BLS certification required ACLS required Job Summary 1. All RN positions require successfulcompletion from an approved School of Nursing. 2. All RN positions require a current, validNew Hampshire Registered Nurse License. 3. All RN s must perform essential jobfunctions and meet qualifications listed below. 4. Registered Nurses working in specialtyareas must meet requirements for those specialties as determined by thatspecific discipline. Essential Job Functions Assessment: 1. Able to perform standard Assessments using basic equipment MedicationAdministration: 1. Visualacuity 2. Hand-Eyecoordination Communication/Documentation: 1. Maintainsconfidentiality 2. Ableto communicate verbally and in writing Patient Safety: 1. Able to meet standards of job analysisform Interpersonal: 1. Interactpositively with members of team and patients. 2. Respectspatient s culture, lifestyle, religion and age when planning or implementingcare 3. Acceptsconstructive criticism and channels emotional reaction in a positive manner QUALIFICATIONS Education -Graduatefrom an approved School of Nursing. -Current New Hampshire licenserequired or eligible to obtain Experience -Clinicalexperience preferred ProfessionalActivities: -Membership in a professional nursingorganization -Certification in specialty preferred. Additional Information:**Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid **St. Joseph has the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13 week contract
