Description

Evening/Night, 8/12 hr shifts, 1900-0730, with every other weekend and some holidays.

Experience with multiple ICU units (Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, etc), IMC/Progressive/General care populations.

WI RN or compact RN license required
BLS and ACLS required - AHA ONLY
Will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

Patient Diagnoses : ICU experience with adult populations required. IMC/Progressive/General care populations as needed.

Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who:

Would like to be part of the team in a Magnet certified hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center.

Would enjoy growing their career in an academic learning environment.

Appreciates the autonomy and flexibility of working in a variety of critical care settings such as Trauma Life Center, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, and Cardiac ICU.

Supports and/or engages in Shared Governance at University Hospital.
Special Equipment : Many devices- high acuity population

*** will float to Neuro ICU, CV/CT ICU, Burn, Trauma, MSICU, IMC- Progressive unit

*** Need trauma I experience

*** CALL OUT ANY MISSING SKILLS

Must be competent in multiple ICU specialties. Please screen if more than 2 and meets requirements.

Local Rule
: 50 miles from the facility. Locals not accepted.

: Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years

A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:

Adult Exam:

100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole

No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3
rd

degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]

Passing score of 80% or higher

Pediatric Exam

Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia

Passing score of 80% or higher

Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts the assignment will be cancelled.
