Description

Evening/Night, 12 hour shift, 1900-0730, with every other weekend, some holidays required. If request off scheduled weekend, may be scheduled contingent weekend.

ICU experience required. Neurosurgery experience preferred.
Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient population.
Epic experience required

RN license required
BLS + ACLS required - AHA ONLY
Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

Special Procedures/Unit Details : Work on a 12-bed neuroscience critical care unit with the opportunity to support both IMC and ICU level of care.

Care for adult patients with a variety of neurology, neurosurgical and stroke conditions that can include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, hydrocephalus, cerebral aneurysm, and other neurovascular diseases.

Utilize strong critical thinking skills and provide interventions that may include vasoactive drips, hemodynamic monitoring, feeding tubes, drains, frequent assessments, and more.

Work with a dynamic and supportive team of nurses that are an integral part of our nationally recognized neuroscience programs committed to providing expert care.

A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:

Adult Exam:

100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole

No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3
rd

degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure]

Passing score of 80% or higher

Pediatric Exam

Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia

Passing score of 80% or higher

Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts the assignment will be cancelled.
