Description
Job Description
We seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to adult patients in an acute-care hospital setting. The RN will work collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, and monitor patient progress.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg patients with a variety of medical conditions.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when necessary.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN License .
- Recent Med/Surg RN experience in an acute-care hospital.
- BLS certification required
- Must have Trauma level 1 experience .
