CT Technologist

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM EST
• Hours per week: 40 hours
• Shift: Weekday overnights
• On call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to scans, following safety policies
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests
• Position patients safely, including lifting or moving those with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, including image identification and proper transmission to PACS system
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment

Required Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to starting)
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience with Siemens CT scanners required

Preferred Qualifications

• Injection certification (willingness to complete during orientation)
• Knowledge of Philips CT equipment
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system highly desired
