CV Invasive Specialist

Brighton, Colorado
Schedule
- Day shift
- 8 hours per day
- 40 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
- Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures and maintains sterile conditions as a scrub assistant.
- Operates imaging equipment and monitors/document procedure images and events.
- Provides patient care under RN supervision.
- Educates patients and families about the procedure and pre/post-procedure expectations.
- Maintains unit order, cleanliness, and stock levels.
- Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation.
- Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
- One of the following credentials:
- ARRT
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification
- RCIS
- RCES
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Fluoroscopy Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree
- Two years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab
