Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time, rotating shifts with weekend requirements (6 Saturday or Sunday shifts per 6-week period)

Highlights:

39-bed unit combining 23 step-down beds and 16 medical-surgical beds
Patient ratios: 1:3–4 for step-down patients, 1:4–6 for medical-surgical patients
Complex case mix including tracheostomy care, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable ventilated patients, and wound management
Cerner EMR system in use
Collaborative team environment with dedicated charge nurse and PCT support on every shift
Opportunity to float to other progressive care and medical-surgical units for professional growth

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
Experience working with tracheostomy patients (required)
BLS and ACLS certification (required)
Previous experience with Cerner EMR (preferred)
Flexibility and high level of clinical competence

Lots of other travelers, nice approachable management that are on the floor in scrubs to help not criticize, updated cerner launch point, staff helps other staff, security is able to protect staff, PD is at hospital

Cons

Charge is only available to help with traumas otherwise they sit at their desk, techs assign pts to ER rooms making very heavy patient loads with multiple traumas with other nurse assignments being very light, not enough policies to protect nurses from verbal and physical violence from patients
