Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – California

Start Date: Not specified
Location: California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratios; weekend coverage required; must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays

Highlights:

  • High-volume Emergency Department with approximately 270 visits per day and 60-bed capacity
  • Community hospital setting with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and lift teams
  • Epic charting system preferred; 24 hours of orientation provided
  • Diverse case mix including general emergency, sepsis, stroke, and cardiac receiving
  • Opportunity to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
  • Strong team environment with full ancillary support services

Requirements:

  • Active California RN license (must be in hand; temporary licenses not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience with current ER experience within the last year
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, MAB, NIHSS, and PALS
  • Experience with 4:1 patient ratios
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
  • Proficiency in core emergency skills including triage, IV management, procedural sedation, interpretation of dysrhythmias, ventilated patient care, and emergency medications
