Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratios; weekend coverage required; must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
Highlights:
- High-volume Emergency Department with approximately 270 visits per day and 60-bed capacity
- Community hospital setting with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and lift teams
- Epic charting system preferred; 24 hours of orientation provided
- Diverse case mix including general emergency, sepsis, stroke, and cardiac receiving
- Opportunity to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Strong team environment with full ancillary support services
Requirements:
- Active California RN license (must be in hand; temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience with current ER experience within the last year
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, MAB, NIHSS, and PALS
- Experience with 4:1 patient ratios
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Proficiency in core emergency skills including triage, IV management, procedural sedation, interpretation of dysrhythmias, ventilated patient care, and emergency medications
