Start Date: February 23, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, holiday support required

Highlights:

• 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit with 2:1 ICU and 4-5:1 PCU patient ratios
• Work with advanced critical care technology including ventilators, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), and hemodynamic monitoring systems
• Charge nurse out of staffing model; work alongside experienced nursing team
• Cerner documentation system in place
• Opportunity to assist with bedside procedures including chest tube insertion and intubations
• Floating to other units may be required based on hospital needs

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license (or compact state license)
• Medical ICU experience in a large facility setting required
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Advanced critical care skills: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors), central line management
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking skills, flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively
