Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratios (may flex to 5:1); every other weekend required; float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed

Highlights:

• 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma care
• Advanced patient care including chest tubes, trachs, PCA pumps, IV infusions, and lumbar drains
• Cerner EMR system with comprehensive clinical support staff including charge nurses, CNAs, and unit coordinators
• Work with a collaborative team of 95+ staff members in a state-of-the-art facility
• Hands-on experience with neuro/spinal assessments, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
• Equipment includes IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, patient lifts, and chest tube management systems

Requirements:

• Current North Carolina RN license or compact state license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
• Progressive care or critical care experience with neuro and trauma patient populations
• Ability to float to stepdown and medical-surgical units
• Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency with critical care equipment
