Description
Start Date: February 5, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day or night shift available, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, no on-call
Highlights:
- 20-bed Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit with specialized critical care patient population
- Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3, providing meaningful direct patient care
- Advanced equipment including Camino ICP monitoring, CRRT, EVDs, wound vacs, arterial and central lines
- Cerner EMR system for streamlined documentation
- Collaborative nursing team with clinical nurse coordinator support on every shift
- Opportunity to participate in complex procedures including central line, chest tube, and arterial line insertions, plus percutaneous tracheostomies
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Trauma Surgical ICU experience is essential
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred
- ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses) preferred
- Willingness to float to MICU, NSICU, CICU, CVICU, and progressive care units as needed
