Description
Start Date: February 16, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6 weekend shifts required, 6-week rotating schedule with modified self-scheduling
Highlights:
- 20-bed Surgical Trauma ICU at an ACS Verified Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated hospital
- 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio with full support from supervisors, PCTs, and unit secretaries
- Advanced critical care equipment including EVDs, CRRT, iCool machines, ventilators, and Cerner PowerChart documentation
- Diverse case mix with exposure to complex procedures: intubation/extubation, chest tube and central line placement, CRRT, proning, TPA administration, and more
- Collaborative ICU environment with floating opportunities to MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU, and Step Down units
- Modified self-scheduling to support work-life balance
Requirements:
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of acute care ICU experience (LTAC not considered)
- Trauma ICU experience from a Level I or Level II Trauma Center strongly preferred
- Surgical ICU experience highly valued
