Description
Start Date: February 16, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating every other weekend; patient ratio 4:1 (may stretch to 5:1)

- 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma care

- Work with advanced equipment including IV pumps, chest tubes, PCA pumps, patient lifts, and lumbar drains
- EMR: Cerner
- Collaborate with a supportive team of 95 PCU staff members in a state-of-the-art environment
- Opportunity to float to stepdown and medical-surgical units for diverse experience
Requirements:
- Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
- Neurology and trauma care experience strongly preferred
- Competency in procedures including neuro/spinal assessments, chest tube management, blood transfusions, and feeding tube placement
