Description
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM; stay late on-call 1-2 times per week
Highlights:
- Cardiovascular Pre-Op unit within a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma Center
- 1:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- GE Carescape monitoring and Fuji ultrasound equipment; Cerner EMR documentation
- Part of the busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas and the region's only open heart center
- Work with an experienced interdisciplinary team including RNs, CNCs, and unit management
- Recognized nationally as a Top 1% hospital and recipient of Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade "A"
Requirements:
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Critical Care experience required; Pre-Op experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, independent decision-making, and communication skills
- Proficiency in BCMA, IV starts (including large-bore), and assisting with invasive line placement
- Previous travel assignment experience required – no first-time travelers
