Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 6-week scheduling periods; minimum 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per period; no call required

• 40-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit specializing in CV surgery and vascular surgery patients
• Primary patient population includes open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR), thoracic lung procedures, AAA repairs, and medical cardiology overflow
• RN-to-patient ratio of 1:5; utilizes Cerner EMR and Baxter IV pumps
• Work at a nationally recognized facility with an "A" Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade and Magnet Designation

• Fast-paced environment within the busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Progressive care or stepdown experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Prior CV surgery and vascular surgery population experience strongly preferred (open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass) within the past year
• CVICU experience a plus
• Proficiency in epidural management, chest tube management, tube feedings, cardiac drip management, and IV glucommander
