Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day or Night shift, 12-hour shifts; 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

• 40-bed cardiovascular progressive care unit specializing in cardiac and vascular surgery patients
• Primary patient population includes open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR), thoracic procedures, and vascular surgery (AAA repair, fem-pop bypass, carotid endarterectomy)
• Work in a Magnet-designated facility recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals and recipient of an "A" Hospital Safety Grade
• Hands-on experience with cardiac drips, chest tubes, epidurals, and advanced telemetry monitoring using Cerner EMR
• No on-call requirements; potential to float to other stepdown or medical-surgical units
• Navy and white scrub dress code; collaborative, fast-paced team environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license eligible for North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of stepdown and telemetry experience required
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Preferred: Recent cardiovascular surgery or vascular surgery experience; CVICU background a plus
• Strong clinical skills in epidural management, chest tube care, cardiac drip titration, and tube feeding administration
