Description
Start Date: March 9, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, no call
Highlights:
- 20-bed progressive care overflow unit with mixed medical-surgical and step-down patients
- Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 depending on acuity level
- Short-stay focused unit with quick patient turnover and 24-hour length of stay targets
- Telemetry monitoring with hardwired bedside equipment for all indicated patients
- Cerner EMR system; Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
- Part of a Magnet-designated, top 1% nationally recognized healthcare system
Requirements:
- Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Telemetry competency required
- Progressive care experience required
- Recent progressive care experience strongly preferred
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
