Job Opportunity – Pediatric Oncology/Hematology RN – New Jersey

Start Date: April 27, 2026
Location: Newark, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week contract, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday), patient ratio 1:5

Highlights:

  • Specialized pediatric unit including general pediatrics, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, and surgical patients
  • 31-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams
  • Epic charting system in a 31-bed unit serving neonates through adolescents
  • Float opportunities to PICU and NICU based on skillset and appropriate assignments
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Comprehensive orientation with non-billable Epic training and unit-specific modules

Requirements:

  • Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 1.5 years of pediatric nursing experience required
  • Chemotherapy/Oncology experience required
  • General pediatrics experience required
  • BLS, PALS, and APHON certifications required
  • NRP and OCN certifications preferred
  • Experience with 1:5 patient ratios
  • Epic charting system experience preferred
  • Willingness to float within skillset to PICU and NICU as needed
