Description
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Location: Newark, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week contract, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday), patient ratio 1:5
Highlights:
- Specialized pediatric unit including general pediatrics, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, and surgical patients
- 31-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system in a 31-bed unit serving neonates through adolescents
- Float opportunities to PICU and NICU based on skillset and appropriate assignments
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Comprehensive orientation with non-billable Epic training and unit-specific modules
Requirements:
- Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1.5 years of pediatric nursing experience required
- Chemotherapy/Oncology experience required
- General pediatrics experience required
- BLS, PALS, and APHON certifications required
- NRP and OCN certifications preferred
- Experience with 1:5 patient ratios
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Willingness to float within skillset to PICU and NICU as needed
