Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – New York

Start Date: April 28, 2026

Location: Rochester, New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 13-week contract, every other weekend required, every other holiday availability needed

Highlights:

• 26-bed specialized cardiac unit caring for patients post-PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post-MI, and those receiving cardiac pharmacologic interventions
• Work at a 528-bed Magnet-recognized acute care teaching facility certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• 13-week assignment with potential to extend

Requirements:

• Active New York Single State RN license (must be in hand prior to submission; NY is not a compact state, pending licenses not accepted)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• EPIC charting system experience mandatory
• Proficiency in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response/code team protocols
• Skills in nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• No more than 10 days of requested time off during contract period
• Willingness to float within skillset
