Description
Start Date: June 8, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, with occasional late shifts (1-2 per week)

- Specialize in cardiovascular preoperative care in a 4-bed high-acuity unit with 1:1 patient ratios
- Work with advanced technology including GE Carescape Monitoring and Fuji ultrasound systems in a state-of-the-art cardiac tower
- Collaborate with the busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas and the region's only open heart and interventional cardiology center
- Utilize Cerner documentation system with support from Clinical Nurse Coordinator, manager, and interdisciplinary team
- Floating only within scope of practice and experience
Requirements:
- Current RN license in North Carolina
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Critical care experience required; preoperative experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Proficiency in BCMA, IV therapy (including large-bore IV starts), and excellent documentation skills
- Experience with arterial lines, central lines, epidural placement assistance, patient transport to OR, and support with induction, intubation, positioning, and skin prep
- Excellent interdepartmental communication and teamwork abilities
