Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating days/nights, 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period, no call required

Highlights:

• 40-bed Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit specializing in CV surgery and vascular surgery patients
• Diverse patient population including open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR), thoracic procedures, vascular surgeries, and medical cardiology overflow
• Advanced skill utilization including chest tube and epidural management, cardiac drip titration, and critical monitoring
• Cerner EMR system with modern equipment including Baxter IV pumps and CADD epidural pumps
• Collaborative environment with dedicated charge nurse, RN team, PCTs, and unit support staff
• Floating to stepdown and medical-surgical units based on facility needs

Requirements:

• Current RN license in North Carolina (or compact state license)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Stepdown and telemetry experience mandatory
• Previous CV surgery and vascular surgery population experience preferred (open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass within past year)
• CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac drip management including vasoactive and antiarrhythmic medications
