Job Opportunity – Pediatric Operating Room RN – Wisconsin

Start Date: July 20, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time with on-call rotation; 1 weekend every 6-8 weeks, 1 weeknight per week (Monday-Thursday), holiday coverage as operationally needed

Highlights:

• Pediatric OR specialization including transplant, trauma, ambulatory, and general surgical cases
• Work in a Magnet-designated children's hospital with a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU
• Epic charting system with 32 hours of orientation provided
• Kidney transplant experience required; exposure to diverse pediatric surgical specialties
• Interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services and Pharmacy
• Care for patients across all age groups from neonates to adolescents

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in pediatric OR
• Kidney transplant experience required
• Pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, and pediatric trauma experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in pediatric surgical procedures including transplant, ENT, orthopedic, general, and trauma cases
• Must pass cardiac interpretation exam (adult and pediatric) with strict passing criteria prior to start
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
