Description
Start Date: August 3, 2026
Location: Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Days | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-week assignment | Every other weekend and every other holiday | Block scheduling not available
Highlights:
- Float across multiple pediatric specialty units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med-Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Work with cutting-edge technology including ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and advanced respiratory support systems
- Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
- Comprehensive 60-hour orientation provided to support your success
- Up to 40 hours of approved time off available (restrictions apply during first two weeks)
- Regional transfer center serving a diverse pediatric patient population with complex care needs
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Virginia license may be pending at submission; must be in-hand the Wednesday prior to start date)
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience and pediatric float pool experience highly preferred
- Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS required
- Dr. Browns Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be pending at submission; cost is $185)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- BSN preferred
- Must be comfortable caring for patients across the pediatric age spectrum from neonates to adolescents
- Ability to manage varied patient ratios: 1:2 in PICU, 1:2 or 1:3 in NICU/ICN, 1:4 to 1:5 in Acute Pediatrics
